GenBank:
GenBank is the NIH genetic sequence database, an annotated collection of all publicly available nucleotide and protein sequences. The unit records represent single, contiguous stretches of DNA or RNA with annotations. GenBank is part of the International Nucleotide sequence Database Collaboration, along with its two partners, DDBJ and EMBL. All three centers are separate points of data submission, but all are exchanging this information daily, and making the same database available to the community at large.
