What are
microarrays and how do they work ?

ueach spot contains ~107 of identical DNA of lengths from 10s to 100s of bp
u spots are either printed on the
microarrays by a robot or jet, or synthesized by photolithography or by inkjet printing
EST fragments arrayed in 96- or 384-well plates are spotted at high
density onto a glass microarray slide. Subsequently, two different
fluorescently labeled cDNA
populations derived from independent mRNA samples are hybridized to the
array.
